2008/9/22 Living the California Dream 首先承认本人的惰性很大，千头万绪的时候就没精力更新space了。但是最新几周的生活还是很值得纪念的。 第一周基本上就是与漏洞百出的学校“电子”行政系统抗衡，终于排除万难办完了一切必要的手续。 第二周闭关写dissertation  不见deadline不掉泪的人呀，痛苦回忆自动消失，memory retrieval failure.....开始上课，有很多group project和take-home final exam，没有Habermas和Giddens Party #1: Goodbye dissertation, hello sunshine. Venue: Ryan, Katie & Jane's Ryan is and will always be the best grill chef. Time to meet the fiance and fiancee. Surreal sunset from the window. Roof jumping and other adventures. 第三周继续上课，分组，申请SSN Party #2: Richard's Bday Pool Party. Venue: Pasadena Ass-kicking Pétanque credentials proved. Leg dangling by the pool. BBQ, watermelon and ice-cream cake. Elevator in the house! 第四周拿到了SSN，同组的法国美女超级养眼，过生日， 看FOOTBALL！ Party #3: My birthday party at Leena's. Juicy stories, watermelon, garlic bread and Sangria...beer Downtown Walk (Chinatown and El Pueblo), The Grove: shirtless male models at A&F, the farmers' market Paty #4: La Brea Gang at Maya and Amanda's Chair snatching, M&M, THE TODD, Spanks... Party #5 USC vs OSU @backstage, culver city Trojans kicked ass by a landslide win of 35-3, and UCLA had the worst defeat since 1929: 0-59.
